SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB OFFICERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING

DAY 1 :
Students from various colleges reached Mepco college campus around 8 A.M. After having breakfast, we were requested to be seated inside the auditorium. Then the guest of honor Mr.N.Bala lighted the lamp with a vision of enlightening the knowledge. He conveyed his regards to the whole team for conducting this program. Then we had a presentation on Student Convention by Mr.Kannan Rajendran followed by an inspiring speech by Mr.Arun Sampath, in which he expressed all his experiences with Ashok Leyland. They clearly explained the benefits and importance of SAE. We had the lunch session after this presentation. After that Dr.Tamil Selvan, Director/MBA Dept, Mepco focused on the motivational ideologies which a person should have during the time of leading a team. Then Student Executive Council Members (SEC) took the responsibility for the next sessions. Each of the SEC members was assigned with a segment of events which are being conducted by SAE, and each of them was asked to speak about the events. Mr.Ramakrishna Kamanth, Mr,Raghuvamsh Chavali, Mr.R.Sreenivasan, Mr.S.Srinivasan, S.P.Deepan Vikash, Mr.M.Nayeem gave the presentation on Event Management, Experts Speaking Panel, Influencing Skills, Career Guidance, Team Dynamics & Activity Calendar respectively. We had Club Development and Convention/Workshop in which all the club officers who came from different colleges were divided into 7 groups and each of the group was headed by a SEC member. They were asked to discuss about the events happening under SAE and suggest changes in them, to make SAE more active. The segments were Club Space, Factory Visits, Website & Colt, Workshops, Baja, SupraSAE and Other activities. All the seven groups came up with their ideas and suggestions. The delegates noted some of them which were really considerable to amend the changes. The finale event of the first day consisted of some co-circular activities like reacting for the given situation, enacting ads spontaneously etc. Then we all dispersed to have dinner.
DAY 2 :
On the very next day with a great expectation all the students along with the delegates started their journey to foothills. We started their trekking towards hills by having our breakfast. We walked around 8K.M in a steep way through the hills, by passing through all the trees, after three hours of walk we reached the top most part of the hills, and when we reached the top most position, we felt that it was beyond our expectation, such an amazing climate and wonderful scenery. We enjoyed by having some photos and watching the scenery. Then we walked down in 2 hours and we were awarded with the participation certificates along with the faculty advisors who accompanied their students from other colleges. The two day program ends with a mouthwatering lunch. After finishing the lunch we packed our self to college.
We thank our faculty advisors for giving us this opportunity to attend the program.
